I was at an antique store in Riverside and recently came across a basket full of old photos. Most of them were of these two poodles. From the beginning, all the way to the end. Yes, there is even a picture of one lying in it's small coffin! They must have been very loved. I can understand because I'm constantly taking photos of my cat. This seemed different though. I don't often come across old photos of animals, especially so many!
I didn't buy them at first, but couldn't stop thinking about them. So I went back and bought almost all of them. I gave them to Chelsea (of Honey Power/ my sister) as a christmas gift in a quickly made paper photo album. I titled it "l'album photo de ces caniches" which basically means "photo album of poodles" in French (couldn't help it).
I had told Chelsea about them before and she suggested we write a song about it. I still really want to do that, so maybe you'll see a post soon when it's finished !
I couldn't help feeling emotional as I was putting the photo album together. Animals can be really great friends. I could tell the owners were really attached. They are long gone now, but I'm happy that they live on in these adorable photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do :)
